I don't think noting the lack of a date on that article is much of a criticism. First, the approximate date is clear from the context (one year after the merger). Second, anybody who watches the news would have seen the article appear in the past few days. So do you have anything substantive to say?

JMHO.

Duke,

You're nitpicking irrelevancies.

Dave

<edit: Or in other words, I agree with Charles.>

Duke,

Date of the article is May 5th. Content of article can give you a ballpark date as was responded to you by others. Certainly didn't drudge up anything I could find; the general sentiment expressed in the article has been the investors/analysts sentiment regarding the merger at the one year time frame.

Laptops recalled? Has this correlated with hindering laptop sales growth for Dell? Has it helped HPQ gain laptop share?

I'm befuddled by your bashing of DELL, especially at a time when DELL is outperforming your beloved merged company in most areas and most importantly to an investor, in stock price. Don't look past the fact that both Dell and HPQ are in the same sector. If either do very well in upcoming earnings reports, the others stock price and outlook will be helped, and a negative report will hurt both. So, when HPQ releases earnings, I'm rooting for them because even though I use DELL products, am very happy with Dell systems, I'm an investor to make money.

Cheers,
kaka
