Wayne, Well, Empire Maker was out, then he was in, and now he seems to be out for good. I think his absence will increase the field. Many owners and trainers think that with a little luck they can beat FunnyCide and Peace Rules. And place/show in a triple crown race means something when you are syndicating a horse. Of course, FunnyCide and Buddy Gill aren't going to get much in the way of stud fees, so Buddy may sit it out. But I expect to see some of the no-shows reappear.
