I think it's debatable as to how many Palestinians left strictly because of the Israelis. In any case, I would point out that Israel's population gained from Jews who were kicked out of other Arab countries.

By the way, for the record, I believe these kinds of arguments are not only useless, but actually harmful to the peace process. Each side has legitimate grievances against the other as far as past experiences are concerned. It's time to stop looking at the grievances of the past and begin a process where new grievances no longer need occur.
