"I don't think...

Although I don't always follow your line of thinking or agree with it, I am pretty sure something is up in your brain. However, if you think a show like West Wing is just tittilating entertainment about a fictitious White House you are quite gullible.

Here we have one of the most politically active left wing Hollywood stars playing the president. Domestic social issues and scenarios representing world politics are frequently highlighted in the drama. Is there a view point that is being modeled? You betcha... Do we want a president to act like Sheen...course not. Sometimes what is being modeled is how foolish it would be to behave like his character (Its called playing the devils advocate). Is there also some dopey lasciviousness to entertain the depraved...Ok, ok, that too.

I have turned it on a couple of times but haven't been able to stick with it more than five or ten minutes. The show stinks.

The intention of the producers was, in fact, to show something "realistic" enough to be persuasive, but "idealistic" enough to promote their preferences. Sheen is the very model of an electable liberal president.......
