eat or pharma, eat or pharma...oh what to do...

:)

getting the drug for the life saving illness is a given....my point was more along the lines of keying off the the boomer demographic....which will be highly subsidized by x'ers...i see a "driver" as one that creates wealth, to be sure there is a wealth creation for the drug co's...but the payment will come mostly in the form of a cost shifting mechanism which will drain money from what would be ideally the target consumer (20 to 50) by way of higher insurance and taxes...so i don't see new drug treatments in a quasi socialistic paradigm so much as a driver of broad based wealth creation...

as opposed to your other suggestion of alternative fuel (renewable)....which i could see the potential for having massive creative destruction forces, depending on the applications.

Kerry,
even if it meant selling the homestead. Reverse mortgages starting to get a lot of play up here. Decent idea but there goes the kids inheritance.

<Just off the top of my head, given a choice between the price of a life-saving drug and a rather permanent coffin, I think most folks would find a way to get the drug, even if it meant selling the homestead.>

Probably, although day in and day out they choose il-health and pig out.
