Don't be too hard with yourself. It's a difficult market with too much choppiness built in so that a less choppy market (like the resilient bonds) look ridiculous to everyone. Also it was nearly impossible to tell what would happen. I'm glad myself that I have not dipped huge into positions before the announcement but had enough time to trade in stocks or do some in the jumpy currencies.

Btw, I have much better results with "side bets" in the rather illiquid CHF and GBP compared to the erratically trading EUR. They are most of the time purely quoted and there are much less perturbations which screw up the fine senses one needs for trading them. Quite interesting.
