You need a close up to distinguish a smile from a grimace.

She made it, but it took her a while to get out of her "rest."

Josh also had a digital SLR -- which he did not take on climbs -- but he took some nice shots, including this shot from our campsite, showing the general lay of the land:

The shots are from the Indian Creek area in the Canyonlands south of Moab, Utah, arguably the best crack climbing area in the world (Yosemite is pretty damn good, too). You go to one of these formations, hike up the talus that is their moat, and climb cracks that are at least dead vertical, and often over 100 feet long. Exhausting stuff.

Well, I'm still short HGSI. Aren't we due for a pullback?
