<It's funny how you can toss out your opinion without it being challenged, like I was last night. The difference, as I see it, is that you include the words "were the dominoes to topple" and I came right out and said they weren't going to topple. >

Hey dweeb... I spelled out 'dominoes', quoted meastro himself, and you didn't answer... so far your entire case is "that can't happen again... look around".

Too funny.

Michael,

I would like to apologize to you. When you came on the thread, I (and others as well) presumed that you were currently bullish on the economy (and the equities markets). Your first post led me to believe that you were a member of Bulls 'R Us... Thank you for clarifying your true beliefs in your preceding post.

As for me, I am anything but a perma-bear. I'm generally optimistic (LTBH, stocks go up 11% a year on average, etc.) and I never play the market(s) short.

However, I find the current set of economic circumstances simply deplorable, and I see no easy paths to short term economic recovery, either on the domestic or global planes. Therefore, I would classify myself as a nouveau(sp?) bear patiently waiting for the markets to reverse themselves (not content with any bear market rallies <g>)...

As far as challenging you (and not me or others), much of what I write in my posts and what in written in the posts of others has been documented, either on this thread or one of its "sister" threads, such as CFZ or BBR, both threads of which have bearish undertones at the moment. Most of us here are contributors or lurkers on the other threads.

And even though it may sometimes not sound like this, we generally do welcome opposing viewpoints as long as the opinions are substantiated by facts or credible reports from outside sources.
