In the early 1930's, a famous American was called upon to put down an uprising of disgruntled veterans of war. The Bonus Army March had descended on Herbert Hoover's Washington demanding justice for their service in the "War to End All Wars", the one about 230 or so ago. General Douglas MacArthur, ever the aristocratic anti-democrat did what he said was necessary to remove the riff raff from their encampments on the banks of Anacostia River.
