Clint certainly has a voice one doesn't easily forget. Luck plays a role but over a period of time it's experience and knowledge that's the key as you well know.

I make my own index . . it's something I've been doing for over 35 years. It's smaller (currently 12 stocks) which comprise what I feel are the leaders in the market. It always moves before the major indexes so it's a very valuable tool for identifying the move at an earlier moment. Depending on it's signal I then go to a list of stocks that are divided into 36 groups. This list will total from 230 to 270 companies which meet certain fundamental requirements. I simply identify which ones are moving in harmony with my index. Whichever ones show the best potential to move the soonest, the furthest and the fastest are the one's I buy or sell.

I'm long the market waiting to see how this absorption stage pans out. If it goes as I hope I'll finish adding to my current positions on any reactions . . if not I'll close out most of my positions and go neutral until I see evidence of further buying or selling by the big boys.
