The terrorists might have selected 2001 because it was the first year of a new administration, feeling that it would be possible for more confusion and disorganization. I am probably giving the terrorists more credit than they deserve.

There is plenty of blame to go around.

The real question is, who does America trust to steer this country in the right direction going forward. The answer to the question will come in 2004 when the Republicans will win a lopsided victory.
