There is no consensus on printers, cameras, or good stocks for that matter.

I must say, I find that very annoying. I mean, it's one thing for it to be true with stocks, quite another for friggin' cameras, when all us newbies want is just some simple guidance!!!! After taking a hiatus from all non-work and non-family activity for a couple of months, I'm about to get my digicam now (finally!), and have pretty much settled on the Canon S50. But I need to get a printer too. Is there any reason to get a camera and printer made by the same company? And why have you chosen the particular Epson printer you have?

PS Thomas, can you chime in on this too? :0)
