Good morning DJ, Today will be a relaxing day, and a typical Hong Kong spring day.

The weather is slightly but pleasantly muggy, a bit misty but enjoyably cool (for the tropics), 28 degrees Celsius (82 F), 86 degrees relative humidity, and the expectation is for occasional rain interspersed with sudden sunshine.

The big leafed leafy plants are all about, perfectly still. There are thousands of cicadas industriously chirping away. Yes, the birds are singing, even though the peregrines we spoke of so long ago are circling on the thermo as they normally do.

We have a lot of public holidays during the warm months. Today we celebrate Buddha’s birthday, since we no longer celebrate some queen’s birthday.

I will spend the day to work at something I like, which at this time is my geewhizbangknockthemdead gas royalty valuation/compare-valuation model. I will also swim, brunch, read, nap, happy hour, dine, movie … as usual, just as on many Sundays, except there will thankfully not be a punishing exercise session and regrettably, its companion, a severe lymph node and acu-pressure massage.

Oops, I forgot to mention, on the music box, Susana Baca (Peru) is singing 'Zamba Malato', to be followed by Toto La Momposina (Columbia) singing 'Los Sabores del Porro'. The once or twice mentioned Putumayo Worl Music series of CDs are just very extremely good:0)

Chugs, Jay
