I'm sure that there is family violence in New Orleans too. You, and the author, are combining two logical falacies in this report. The first is the fallacy of the extreme example, where explicitness or horror of an extreme event masks the rarity of the event, the other is some sort of guilt by association. The one thing the article made clear was that Palestinians have strong family ties, then it says that some families with strong ties commit crimes. The difference, I suspect, between you and the author is that the author knew the article was misleading. TP
