Nokia 6800 & Nokia 3560 debut at Cingular

Cingular Wireless L.L.C. introduced a pair of Nokia Corp. handsets for its networks including the GSM/GPRS-enabled Nokia 6800 and TDMA-enabled Nokia 3560.

Cingular said the color-screen Nokia 6800 is compatible with the carrier’s 850 MHz and 1900 MHz GSM/GPRS network, includes flip access to a full back-lit QWERTY keyboard and supports SMS and Java functionality for downloading applications. The handset is expected to sell for $250 with a two-year service agreement.

The color-screen Nokia 3560 is compatible with Cingular’s 850 MHz and 1900 MHz TDMA networks as well as its 800 MHz AMPS network. In addition the 3560 includes voice dialing for up to 10 numbers, up to three minutes of voice memo recording and voice commands to control up to five menu items. The handset is expected to sell for $80 after a $50 mail-in rebate and two-year service agreement. <<
