Polls are not votes Tom simple as that. You can't say the whole word was against the war when you only have polls to back up your position. Change the question to "should the U.S. act against Iraq if the UN sanctioned it? and the numbers do an immediate flip. Besides, polls can accurately reflect positions that are wrong. The French and the Germans along with Russia were not going to agree to action no matter what for purely political reasons. The U.S. had the courage to do what was right and needed to be done. I only wish my leaders had that same kind of courage.
