The strength of the U.S. is in the ideals of the Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution, and we have totally abandoned those ideals, in the conduct of our foreign policy. The strength of the U.S. cannot rest on our military might; that's what the Soviets thought, and they were very wrong. Their empire fell, in spite of all their tanks and planes, when they lost the HeartsAndMinds in their Empire. And we are doing the same thing, using force as a substitute for persuasion. In Egypt and Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, we are hated, as much as the Soviets were in Poland and Hungary. And for much the same reasons. We are seen, overwhelmingly, in Europe and Asia and Latin America, as a militarist bully, cynically using the slogans of democracy and freedom (without the content). Just compare the vast gap, between our words and our actions. I know, nobody wants to talk about it, nobody wants to think about it. SeeNoEvil, HearNoEvil, except in our enemies. Guantanamo, Israeli terrorism, Mujahedeen Khalq terrorism, Afghan warlord terrorism, gloss over it all, use euphemisms and re-definitions to pretend we aren't doing exactly what we demonise our enemies for doing. "Never look in the mirror" is our slogan. Here's the mirror:Message 18673637 Message 18855061 Message 18905788 (and replies) That's my bottom line: We will lose the War, until actions match words.
