ever hear of this guy Robbie Roberston?? some nice stuff on the web radio -- never heard him before --

He was the guitarist and songwriter for the Band, who backed Bob Dylan in his heyday and put out several classic albums (Music From Big Pink, The Band, Rock of Ages, and Stage Fright to name four). Fine musician...<NG>

Tip, As others have told you, Robbie was a member of The Band. He has two great solo albums. The one with Sammy from The Bodeans providing backups is the best. "Crazy River" and "Showdown At Big Sky" are two of my favorite songs.

Robbie also shared a house with Martin Scorcese after Martin did The Band's "Last Waltz" movie. They blacked out all the windows so they could edit film and play rock and roll all day long. My guess is that illegal chemicals may have been present. <g>
