Hi Rande,

You and I have talked in the past about this. My wife and I have taken the first major steps at being more self sufficient in order to give us a safer economic "net".

We have moved from a very nice lakefront property with lots of toys etc. to a 10 acre farm (still have a few toys) which will enable us to have gardens and animals. Granted they will be pets and hobbies for now but will be quickly converted to meat and vegatbles for the table if need be in the future.

My new hobbies are moving from golf and waterskiing to gardening, chickens, sheep, pigs etc. totally new for me but actually very enticing as I move to my mid 40's.

Be well,

Mike
