Well, that would have resulted in a $75k gain. And that is just a blind buy and hold on preset dates, with no attempt to get a better price. Most important, that method, in addition to providing a higher result, would still have provided the emotional values of stomach-churning drawdowns, and heart-fluttering highs. No wonder the misses replies with an unimpressed "OK, that was nice, but remember to take out the garbage"! Sorry, I just couldn't resist.
