OT -- It actually took over two years before I could get the head stand to work for me. I could get up, I just didn't have the balance to hold the posture. Now I love all balancing poses, the tree, crow, etc. Sivinanda yoga (the organization that introduced the beatles to meditation at their ashram on Paradise Island in the Bahamas) is big on the headstand, they consider it the most important posture. (I don't)

Yoga is great, but go easy, please. Lots of yoga is good, straining too much is baaaaaad. Om om.
