The problems with the American education system probably relate to the diversity and open nature of our nation. Inner city schools have a real problem as they don't know who will be in the class room from week to week. I know many teachers who are trying very hard but are unable to put together a coherent lesson plan for the year for this reason. On the other hand, suburban schools are probably better than anywhere in the world, including Monaco and France. Of course, morality and logic in our education is certainly experienced at a higher level here. <ggg>
