Reminds SO MUCH of the stories about the glorious Hildalgo Don Quichote. You know, he did eventually confess and turn "normal", he abrogated all the madnesses (fighting the wind mills, the djins...), he realized Dulcinea dal Tobosa was just a cowgirl etc etc ... but not before he faced the end of his days on his deathbed.

I guess I am SO predictable...

Wish Mq all the best. Who are we to keep people from their manifest destiny?

Thanks Jay for reminding me. I had a read from 2.2 years ago and it's true that I didn't realize how much tidying up of irrational exuberance was to be done. The mob certainly did sell [including me] stocks, [including QCOM], to much lower lows.

I wonder how many $billions there now are in margin accounts and how many there were in February 2001. And how many in February 2000. My guess is that the process is mostly done - though Uncle Al has given a reprieve with dramatically lower margin interest rates.

Things have definitely more approximated your future than mine. G260 to G345 is much better than Q500 to Q310. The bloody Aztecs are swaggering around the village as though they own it.

Obviously, when the Aztecs were dazzled by the blinding power of the new phragmented photon CDMA2000 cyberspace light sabre in Y2K, that was the time to collect the gold they were dropping. Now, they see a few glitches in the Biotelecosmictechdot.com world and are heartened to the point of foolish bravado, talking of gold as a no-brainer. Which I of course agree with. However, I'm nervous and cautious because mobs are notoriously no-brainer but also notoriously powerful. One must not be in the way - one must panic first and be ahead of them.
