On the subject of Things I Could Have Got Through Life More Happily Without Knowing: from Darwin's "Origins of Species":

"We see the value set on animals even by the barbarians of Tierra del Fuego, by their killing and devouring their old women, in times of dearth, as of less value than their dogs." (p. 41)

Yeah, he bragged on and on about a year ago over WOR-AM, NYC on his radio program, about how his values were so superior to those of some other students, who liked to party while listening to rock music. He did not want his "beauty sleep" disturbed, so he threw the guy who was playing the music out the window! Then he bragged about how there was snow on the ground, so the "hippie" did'nt get hurt that bad.... So now this "thug" is preaching to others the "superiority" of his "high moral values". Since hearing him brag about his crime that day, I have never listened to the scum bag since....
