My next move is to get education costs moved to a state wide income tax. And, of course, if you believe there is even the feeblest of chances that much needed tax initiative would pass, you get an F for political wisdom.


The people are smarter than you think, John. They will go for bonds to build needed schools, because they can see the buildings, but not for more money for overhead. They see that constantly rising teaching costs are met with constantly lower quality of the finished product. They don't understand why this is so, but they don't like it, and don't want to continue to add money to it.
