Perhaps if short sellers or the worlds greatest forensic human search engine could show where they sent the SEC damning evidence against a company months and now in many cases, years ago, and the SEC chose to ignore or not act upon this evidence then yeah why couldn't they be sued. Of course i'm sure it would get dismissed lest the public learn the kinds of frauds and scams the SEC lets pass. The govt. loves to grow in it's size as it claims to protect the innocent and avg joe from a whole variety of crap(mainly like in this case, their own stupidity) but as usual when it gets down to it, the govt is very ineffective in its work.
