Speaking of crowded trades.

Field report indicates DFW housing market supply building to the point where price pressure is unquestionably evident now areawide. This in the face of record low interest rates.

Realtors indicate main culprit is job layoffs, buyers walking on contracts. Main complaint is many sellers still living price fantasy. Realtors are the sharks. Unblinking cold eye toward the market, because they get paid on sales not listing and holding.

Personally DFW and other sunbelt metro areas are Residential RE price fantasys. Prices simply can't continue to go up like the CA markets. There is no shoreline or mountain range to hem in these areas and cause supply shortages. Municipalities beg for housing developments, not prohibit them. So not only is land bountiful on the plains, so are homes. Everywhere and anywhere, within an hour of anyones office or factory. I predict a lot of lenders with a lot of keys before this is over.

I just don't see how we can be 6 months from recovery, when the cracks are just starting to appear now.
