CB,

I have a couple of cases of the suits. I purchased them from GEMPLER'S at gemplers.com They sell all kinds of veterinary supplies. Including penicillin. Boxes of tape and bulk bandaids. They have this neat powder that you shake out on vomit or bodily fluids such as blood. It turns it to a jelled semi-solid. It is on sale now. Thought a couple of jars of it should be added to the medicine closet. They ship free if you join there little club. Better prices than the local COOP and online ordering.

With the hoods they were $7 approx. per suit.

I bought the poly boot covers, gloves, face shields and N95 masks with the breather buttons.

Call me silly.

I have a feeling that next winter we will se a resurgence of this virus or another. If we do then we do. I refuse to live wondering if I could have been better prepared.

Besides that. I can use the suits when working on a truck or tractor. I use the gloves so that my hands stay free from grease. I go to a telco meeting with men that have never turned a nut and my hands are as soft as theirs.

Little do they know.

Stopped and picked up my 30-30 and 5 new boxes of shells from the gunsmith tonight. My son dropped by with his new 22-250 with scope and we sighted it in at 300 yards. Hit a quarter with 3 shots at 300 yards.

Call me silly.

Went to the dentist and had a troublesome tooth pulled. I want to make sure that any preventive work needed is done before August. I got in some seeds that I have been wanting. Doubled up on all of my orders so that I can make sure that I have seeds for next year ahead of time. Put them in some large tins that I have in the cellar after taping shut.

Call me silly.

...I just walked into the house after a weekend on the beach in sunny Florida. It's hard to switch over instantly to things like SARS -g.

I don't think that I need too much in a way of antiviral suits. The moment the word gets out that I am examining patients wearing a mask, gloves and eye protection, no one will set foot in my office anyway... g/ng.

I bought a few boxes of surgical masks, which I will use if necessary, and am also planning to give them to staff, friends, family, etc. That's about all I acquired beyond my usual supplies.

At this time I would expect that the SARS outbreak will slow down for the summer months. I think that by winter we may have some vaccines and, hopefully, will manage to contain the infection. I am not being complacent, really, just trying to keep things in perspective.
