I am not sure about New Jersey, but overall in this country, the Urban areas are getting as much money spent on Education per capita now as the suburbs. But the results are lousy. If we get very far into this conversation, we'll need to actually bring some data to the table. In general, however, there are great disparities within urban areas--poorer areas get much less. More money doesn't, obviously, solve all the problems but they cannot be solved without it.
