Or maybe earnings will go up.

There ARE stocks trading at pe's in the single digits still.

And it's always possible that maybe, just maybe, the economy is cyclical and we'll get a recovery, in which case employment goes up, spending rises, etc....

There ARE people who grow up to be adults and have to spend money when they move out, last I heard anyway.
