FWIW, this was an old Russian cargo plane ferrying soldiers across Congo. Poor guys probably weren't strapped in and never had a chance. The rear cargo ramp opened suddenly and that was it.

That said, a lot of old Russian airliners ended up in odd corners of the globe. I never flew Air Bosnia because they used old Russian crap.
