What can a party "run for" or against.? Religion cant cut it, must have 3 or 4 in the country…. A man who can run the country properly?

Unfortunate but true, what it will probably come down to is people voting for whoever they think will be able to help them and their family, not who will be best for the country.

To the extent that any ideological framework becomes an election issue, it is likely to be a very simple one that lends itself to easy sloganeering. “Iraq for the Iraqis” is an obvious choice, and I expect we’ll hear quite a bit of it. It’s much easier to play the nationalist card and make an issue of the outsider than it is to address the real issues.
