Blissfully naive. That you are.

Kiddo, the government in Washington is growing by leaps and bounds. While it destroys the social programs that were instituted in the 1930's by Franklin Roosevelt, soundly chastised as a "traitor to his class", the new mandarins, under the Uber-Bush are increasing the scope of government to a scale never before seen in America.

We are becoming the most monstrous Stalinist/Stazi/SS regime on the planet, and the State is becoming a God.

To say that we must cut social safety net programs is one thing. To be blind to the awesome and evil aggression that is being proposed by Bush is completely something different.

Perhaps you are too isolated in a provincial capital like Bangkok to understand how profound the dislocations in the American scene are. Believe me, Bush is fomenting evil. He spends extravagantly, lavishly and unrestrainedly on militarism, while at the same time he's strangling all domestic programs.

While the hydra-headed American military is funded to post itself in 125 foreign nations, we can't muster enough money to keep schools open for the full school year in many states.

There is something desperately wrong, and evil, with this picture.
