<font color=blue> You wrote:"I'll take the losing side if it's to PROTECT OUR CIVIL LIBERTIES FROM FACISM"<font color=black>

How can you protect anyone from Fascism, if you aren't smart enough to know what fascism is, or even spell it correctly? Unless you meant that you wanted to protect America from faces?

I will assume you meant fascist instead of face.

You equate restrictions at libraries, and government access to individual information with Fascism. You don't understand that, as long as we have most of our reasonable individual freedoms and access to the courts, and the right to vote, then the fear of America being a Fascist state is just plain stupid.

Right now the threat of terrorism way outweighs the threat to the individual from the Patriot Act.

Terrorist's best information and communication sources are public libraries. I want our government to be able to restrict terrorist use of our libraries.

Anyway, why do you care about America's political system. You've just admitted that you are an enemy to America. That's probably why you are inferring that we are becoming a fascist state.

I have introduced the Freedom to Read Protection Act. The bill, which has the support of Democrats and Republicans, progressives and conservatives, will establish once again that libraries and bookstores are no place for fishing expeditions

I never thought I'd be in favor of any bill that Bernie Sanders put forth, but this one is a loud and clear exception. It deserves everyone's support.

The Patriot Acts (I and II), CAPPS II, and others of that ilk are statist abominations and true conservatives should be the first in line to condemn them.

It's scary that people are willing to flush the Bill of Rights and Constitutional guarantees of privacy down the drain in the name of fighting terrorism. I for one, will fight statist encroachments from the left and the right. IMO, they're more dangerous than any scumbag diaperhead terrorists.
