Before the Intafada, the Palestinian Arabs had the highest standard of living among Arabs as a whole. This was due in part to good paying jobs in Israel and hundreds of millions in aid from the EU and from Israel, which Arafat's goons still get. Now the Palestinian Arab leaders are trying to kill the goose that lays the golden eggs. They don't realize that a properous and peaceful Israel will result in a properous and peaceful West Bank and Gaza. Or perhaps the leaders don't care as long as they get theirs, and can continue the hatred towards Jews and other nonArabs. The Palestinian Arabs don't realize that Arafat's standard of excellence is death, misery, racism and poverty.
