Not you, too! Read a book. Or just do an online search on "Vietnam War".

The objective of US involvement was ALWAYS to contain communism to North Vietnam. Military efforts were focused on cutting off and suppressing the VC and driving back North Vietnamese forces from the south. It was thought that this would lead to a negotiated settlement. As for "how it all turned out," it obviously didn't work, but my guess is you knew that part - you just didn't know what "it" was.

Now you know.

alright, so one other person besides myself and GST who question the validity of that war and the foreign policy of this president. Now where are these people when they post the polls on Bush? Because to hear the talking heads on abc, you'd think Bush was unanimously popular. Not with anybody I know.
