James- Yes, there's a major downtrend line around 80 on the XAU. It passes that, it could really smoke. I suspect the powers that be don't want a dollar THAT weak, however.. Terry: Snow is trying to backtrack from his weaker dollar comments... There is a lot of pressure on Washington to allow the dollar to slide to make our products more price competitive overseas... Given the current weakness in the economy a pickup in exports would be welcome by the manufacturing sector... They're big campaign contributors... Jim
