Art, thanks much for your information on the dividend tax scheme. BTW: I totally agree with the statement in your second paragraph, I don't like the concept because it gives tax protection to those who least need it. But, in these times you do what you can to make a buck, given that Greenspan has pushed down MMfund rates to below 1% per annum, and the US equity markets are still ridiculously overvalued. So I go for foreign opportunities, for the high dividends and the exchange rate with the USD in freefall. James
