Look again at the definition of "conquer". Invasion is not necessary for conquest, only that the country in question bend to our will. Of all the nations you listed that we've "liberated", in how many do we not still maintain military bases? Having such bases around the globe seems normal to Americans because its been that way since we can recall, but do you know of any other country that does this? How would you feel if France installed a base in your town? Much of our global hegemony is relatively benign, right up to the point that we no longer condone certain actions. Ask the citizens of Panama who lost their lives when we came after our erstwhile employee, Manuel Noriega...same with bin Laden, Saddam, etc. If you persist in the "You just hate America" rhetoric, this discussion will be over. I love America, I detest what I see her turning into.
