The "uncertainty" here is not "randomness".

It's about being able to know the place or the momentum of a particle, but not both. It has to do with the mere act of taking a measurement disturbing the system in the quantum universe.

Probability has nothing to do with this. You cannot have thought that Einstein argued against "probability". No, it was the "uncertainty" as defined in the Heisenberg Principle. The famous debate (which Einstein "lost") was immediately after the Copenhagen meetings, iirc...

that's to be expected, since our brains are wired to seek out patterns. even where they don't exist. letting go of "there must be a reason" is extremely hard for us.
