Looks like I found a hot button. And it looks like we would have to go to the data and statistics, if this had anything to do with my point. Our own children are public school kids. Although my son home schooled in 5th, then was student of the year on returning to public school in 6th. He was through with work by noon each day at home. Big deal. We have a great school district, IMO. He graduated +/- 50th %tile, 1350 SAT, and is now dean's list as a senior in college. Great or smart kids will succeed. I have great friends and relatives in public education. Most of them face the facts regarding education as delivered on the whole by current systems.
