DiB, the difficult thing about trading options is that in general you don't want to hold them until expiration, but will usually do better if you take the money and run. So if one sells a put with a 35 strike price, and the stock miraculously moves up past 35, it would be a good idea to cover before the stock takes another dive, for whatever reason, legitimate or not!
