But we need to remember that even a walk in the forest can be a pleasant experience as long as one does not make the mistake of thinking that the pleasant walk is a good substitute for wise investing.

Yes, performance is what matters. That is why I always attempt to take the very long view, especially when one is looking for trees that might become tomorrow's giant redwoods.
