Mike, The fact is the draft ran from WWII until way past Nam, and enlistments are always available. I sometimes sound strident on this, but I have no objection to draft dodgers or those who decide not to serve. And the military has many careers which never see combat, so that's not a test. I do have an objection when they then rant and rave and try to send other youngsters into harm's way. If you don't serve and you're a dove, you are consistent. If you don't serve, but you are a foaming at the mouth war monger, as O'Really is, then you are a hypocrite. Ditto for Rush Limbaugh. I don't know about Savage. He could well be a vet, as he looks like he has seen some awfully rough duty somewhere. <g>

Faux News does present an even split between fact and fiction. <g>

The media has become a bit more conservative in the last three years, except maybe for ABC, so we need a little less "balance" these days than we used to.... (IMO)
