Ha!... Sorry for the misunderstanding. Certainly, there is nothing like a little "secondary gain" while having a cold... -g.

I think that while taking care of someone who has a very contagious illness using gloves is still a very good idea. Why have to worry about washing off all these viruses off your hands? Those allergic to latex can use vinyl, and they are all just a few pennies each. If SARS never arrives, you can always find use for them on the days when your wife gets into one of those nesting moods and makes you paint or clean something... g.

I don't know for how long SARS virus survives in dry air. If it can survive for a long time then dehumidifiers will not be very useful. I am not sure about the heaters being able to kill viruses. A good air filter, I would think, should be useful by removing particles (including droplets) with the viruses stuck to them, but at this point it's just a guess.
