Olivier Roy has an interesting take on the UN discussions vis a vis it's Iraqi role.

Roy points out that the Bush Admin is engaged in ME slum clearance. You were shocked to read this? It has been discussed endlessly here, and in all the media. It was not hidden.

"It's all about the Jews" is a fresh, new take? I think not.

As the Bush Administration turns its attention to solving Israel/Palestine, I am braced for more spinning and twisting than a barrelful of boa constrictors - from reporters, from politicians, from terrorist groups, from supporters of Arafat, from supporters of Sharon - I expect that it will make the run-up to the Iraq war look like a dress rehearsal.

I will be pleased to be wrong.
