Let's try this - Do you have any comments on my system of numbering states on a scale of 1-10 rather than 0-1?

It can't make peace because it can't trust them and there are fundamental conflicts that must be resolved.

"Israel can't trust neighbours" is a very feeble argument, imho. Who trusts the enemies they finally make peace with anyway? And the "fundamental conflicts" seem to be "let's see how much longer we can delay this peace thingie so we can build more settlements and eventually garner more of this land when the time comes for division of the territories".

Israel is a western democracy. It will not implode

It was an example to show you that power does not last forever. If you don't like Soviets, take your pick from history. The point is that Israel will not stay so dominant among weak countries until the end of time. And if it has not already come to an understanding with its neighbours by then, it might not be fun to be Israeli when that time comes.

If you look at the prospects of Israel's neighbors, they have been marching downhill rapidly since 9/11 and the prospects are for its continuation

Iraq and Palestinians, obviously. Which others?
