SIXTY MILLION>..... this is Bush taking care of AMERICA?????? CC Excuse me, but since when is it up to the government to take care of the people? We are all responsible for ourselves. If you want a socialist government, then the government will take care of you..and take away your liberties.

At the same time, the budget office said, government surveys suggest that the number of people uninsured for the entire year was 21 million to 31 million, or 9 percent to 13 percent of nonelderly Americans." nytimes.com So that was 1998 figure. Needless to say, after 4-year stock market decline from 1999-2002, and 2+ millions of people out of work, that number will be revised upward by a larg margin.
