Krugman's rant on Fox is rather deliciously ironic coming from someone at the New York Times! Krugman's not "at" the New York Times. He's paid simply to write an op ed column. Much different from, say, Tom Friedman, who is a long time Times staffer. As for Krugman writing about a place that pays him some money, he has done that bit in the past, bite the hand that feeds him. So, that's not surprising. And, obviously, his point can apply to the Times as well. That's one of the reasons their difficulties with both the Clinton and the Bush administration have to be admired. They are going against the incentive grain on this one.
