I think 1-10 is too difficult and too subjective

Not really. The point is, if a peace could be done with Egypt and Turkey, it can be done with Syria.

Unless, of course, Israel wants to prolong the current state of things in order to further increase its settlements into the Palestinian territories so when the day comes to divide them, they can claim more....

In the theme of the article, "failed" is "failed!"

So? Consider the possibility that the article might not have found the best possible way to analyse the situation.

The "fundamental conflict" is two people, one land.

Honest answer. Thanks.

So how can that conflict be resolved? And by acknowledging that conflict, do you now sympathise with the Palestinian case, who, after all, were there before Jewish people started flooding in from around the world?

You have described a "renaissance" for Islam before "forever." It might be prudent for Israel to remain strong and wait?

Be strong, sure. Wait, no. I really don't see the point, especially this "waiting" prolongs the misery of Palestinians. They are human, too, you know...
